Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni Wear White in Normandy Meeting 2 comments

First lady Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni really made a great coincidence when they joined their husbands at the 65th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy last week. How to say… They both stepped out in white dresses with belts. Seems that they had planned their outfits over a lovely dinner. That naturally became the focus of media.

Michelle Obama donned a bright white dress and 3/4 sleeve jacket, paired with a Jimmy Choo open-toe kitten heels and a chunky silver Givenchy belt. While Carla Bruni wore a cream cap-sleeved dress with a black belt and black kitten heels. Besides, she topped her frock with a simple black coat in an extremely similar cut. Which first lady looked better in a white dress and hip belt?

It looks like there is a need in a new political protocol for the times these two fashionable First Ladies meet. There need to be a fashion coordinator responsible to make sure Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy don’t decide to wear the same trend. In my opinion, maybe they worried that it’s too expensive-looking if one wear more elegant than the other.
