Salvatore Ferragamo Will Target Its Online Shop as the Top Selling Channel no comments
According to the Bloomberg, who offers news and information in the market, Salvatore Ferragamo the Italian luxury company will target its new online shop to be one of its top selling channels. The online service will initially be available to shoppers in Italy and the U.K. and be extended to other European countries and the U.S. in coming months, Florence-based Ferragamo said in an e-mailed statement today.
Ferragamo, founded in 1927, had 550 points of sale worldwide as of July, including standalone stores and concessions in department stores. The company is now joining other luxury-goods operators including Bulgari SpA and Prada SpA in offering an online option.
Ferragamo’s fans can easily purchase the Salvatore Ferragamo handbags, footwear and accessories collection online.

The collection consists of a wide range of shoes, Salvatore Ferragamo handbags, T-shirts, sunglasses and accessories, all bearing the brand’s signature gancino icon and colored with sweet pink palette. The prices range from $256 to $1,050. What’s more, adorned with lovely crystals courtesy of Swarovski Elements, the dazzling collection is really the irresistable line for young girls.
The Pink Collection will go on sale in October, designated at selected Ferragamo boutiques in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, India and Australia. It is said that at least 10% of the sales will go to breast cancer charities and foundations to support the breast cancer victims.
In addition, it introduced a limited edition with an evening clutch in ultra-soft leather embossed with mini-Varas, and a matching pair of sandals which evoke Ferragamo’s 1956 vintage Cage Heel sandals in metal filigree and covered in crystals. It is up for grabs in a silent auction from 1st to 31st October 2009. The starting bid for the silent auction starts at $4,240, with full proceeds donated to the Foundation as well.
