One of the most obvious trends on the  Fall/Winter 09 runways were thigh-high boots, also known as over the knee boots,  that were featured by many designers such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dsquared, Reberto Cavalli, etc. Thigh-high boots make a comeback every year but I predict this year the trend is going to be HUGE! No matter what they are of the classic leather, suede or patent leather, the originally war used items now have become the must-have accessories for women, even the symbol of sex appeal.

It’s obvious that thigh high boots are not for everyone. If you think it doesn’t flatter you in any way, don’t do it – that’s my personal rule. Here are some tips for those of you that will be tempted to try this trend:

• Don’t ever pair your leather thigh high boots with anything else leather.
• There are many different ways to wear thigh high boots. Some of my favourite are: over skinny jeans, with flowy top and shorts or short dress/ skirt or with oversized sweater, and fit them with rock designer replica handbags.
• Steer away from patent leather, and instead opt for suede or vintage looking leather.
• Minimize accessories and make up, as your boots will make enough of a statement.

While, I seldom see ladies wear the high boots in daily time. Will you follow the trend?
